Welcome to The Fish Eyes Trilogy website, a dramaturgical exploration of the three themes in the plays and their core thread: female honour.
What is dramaturgy? Don’t worry about not knowing the term, it’s a new one for many. Dramaturgy is the theory and practice of dramatic composition, or simply put, the research and analysis that is put into practice in the building of a play.
We’ve decided to take our work online and share it with you. Here you will find information about all three plays, the themes and tropes they explore, articles about the pieces and these themes.
We’re also here to spark a dialogue and a conversation! If something interests you, you have a thought about a particular article, or you have a question, feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the posts.
This work is made possible thanks to a generous donation from the George Cedric Metcalf Charitable Foundation.
